Chelsea New Signing Set To Join The Squad In USA For Chelsea Medical

According to reports, Chelsea have agreed a deal with Boca Juniors to sign defender Aaron Anselmino, and it was first reported that he is set to travel to England soon to carry out medical tests with the Premier League side.

But as it stands now, plans has now been changed with the 19-year-old’s medical, according to Argentine journalist Marcos Bonocore, he claims that the defender will travel to the United States to undergo tests and then sign for Chelsea.

The Blues squad are already in the US for their pre-season tour and this would be a reason for the centre-back’s trip there instead of undergoing examinations in England.

Chelsea have agreed to pay $18m [£13.97m] plus $4m [£3.1m] in bonuses for the Argentina defender, Anselmino.

Though they’ll allow him to return to Boca Junior until next summer, with an option to cut short his stay at the end of December.

Footyvaild Understands that the youngster will be ‘presented shortly’ as a new Chelsea player once he clears the medical tests. He’s expected to sign a six-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

Anselmino will return to the Argentine club after completing the move to Chelsea and Planeta Boca Juniors say he’ll be a starter, when available for selection.
